Oprah Winfrey has a TV network now on cable called OWN.
It has a show on there called Miracle detectives here is the tag.
Do miracles really exist? Or is there a logical explanation to the seemingly inexplicable? Two investigators; one a believer, the other a scientist will travel the globe to uncover answers to mysterious incidents that transcend logic in Miracle Detectives, a new one hour documentary series for OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network.
Randall Sullivan is an author and journalist who, while travelling as a war correspondent in Bosnia, saw an inexplicable vision during a violent thunder and lightning storm. He is convinced it was a miracle. Now he travels the globe investigating other miracles, along with Indre Viskontas, a gifted scientist with a Ph.D. in neuroscience, who approaches the supernatural with a skeptical point of view.
In season one, the Miracle Detectives travel throughout the United States investigating such bizarre cases as a man who claims to have x-ray vision and the ability to diagnose illnesses, a young boy whose parents believe is the reincarnated soul of a World War II pilot, and a suburban home where mysterious oil inexplicably oozes from walls and religious statues. Randall and Indre visit the sites of each incident to hear first-hand accounts of these incredible stories. Then, after interviewing numerous experts and conducting experiments, they gather the critical information they need to try and answer the ultimate question: is it a miracle?

My personal problem I have with this show is Randall Sullivan.
As a Gypsy I see people maybe in a different light then someone who never had the background I have. Gypsies learn to read people very quickly in life. We need to learn quickly if we are in danger or if someone is police or if someone is a "Mark" or a easy sell. To make money from. <-- I am not proud of this. with that said, I was taught to view people in different catagories.
1.If they can hurt me, Or mean me harm.
2. If I can get money from them.
I could honestly sell Randall Sullivan snake oil . He is so willing to believe and determined to believe all claims of everything is a Miracle. He has really Blinded his eyes to the point where I honestly believe if he was to wittness a true miracle he wouldnt know it.
The Scientist Indre Viskontas is very open minded to Miracles but is very eager to find a genuine miracle that she uses science to prove or disprove claims. She is very balanced and very educated.
I see this Randal Sullivan guy in these episodes get almost angry at her because she has debunked a few claimes. He begins to blink heavy and tighten and purse his mouth and clinch his stance when she is showing him things. Like how you can replicate certain Miracles using just plain logic. Like light orbs and rods around statues etc,
He really needs to lighten up or they need to replace him early. Cause I see this show going nowhere with him on it. Good concept, intresting subject matter. casting was a /fail in my opinion.
