Forget "The Birds"! It's "The Butterflies" here!
Around town we have these little bright yellow butterflies. They're about two inches long, maybe an inch and a half high...and for reasons only known to them they like to hurl their little bodies onto windshields of cars.
Seriously.
You can be parked doing nothing and something in them compells them to throw themselves onto windshields in mass order. Some groups want people only to drive 25 MPH on the high way so they don't become endagered due to the butterflies death wishes.
These butterflies LOOK at each other and get pregnant! As long as you have a male and a female you're in NO danger of the population becoming extinct. They produce 22 billion offspring per day! About 21 billion offspring if they're having a slow day.
I also think their little bodies are filled with some form of glue. The moment they splatter themselves all over the windshields it's almost impossible to get them off. It took a whole lot of scrubbing yesterday for me to get them off.
I have no idea what the technical term for them is but everyone calls them "The little yellow butterflies" and that's the nice term.

I think "Butterfly Lemmings" works well.
Though in truth lemmings actually don't hurl themselves from cliffs...

I thought this might make some members smile. It's of a bird in New Zealand with a feather mutation. It's nothing horrifying and the little guy is actually kind of cute. When I first saw him I thought he looked like a funny looking mop. He's well taken care of and has a good home with the lady. I know he's adapted to having all those feathers all over his face and body but sometimes I wonder just how the little guy can see with all of them? www.youtube.com/watch?v=WFMXrBWswl0

Something or another has been plotting. I've been working on my Eowyn shieldmaiden dress for the Ren. Faire but something doesn't seem to want to let me wear for that event. My needle broke, I ran out of thread, can't find my grommets and during the cutting process I ended up with too much fabric. No harm done there. I can always save it for something else. Something or another just doesn't want me to wear it. So I'll wear my Scottish dress instead. It's bizzare because I'm thinking "Why? Why am I not supposed to wear that dress for the Ren. Faire?" HOW SWEET! Did you see the world's smallest horse on that link, awI want one and a tiny girraffe....ok...Lemme stop before I get out the box. LOL HAPPY WEEKEND GANG!!!!! {HUGS TO ALL ME FORUM PEEPS} : ) I remember that tiny girraffe DirecTv commercial. That one amused me at the end.

After much groveling I have finally agreed to make two versions of the Titanic jump dress. One in the movie colors and the other all white... ...I must be insane.

We've got ourselves a new cat. The little beastie showed up yesterday and has moved right into our back yard.

We named the newbie Herman and he lives inside with us.
The little beastie is bold as brass. He's tried more times than I've got fingers to steal my lunch!
One person joked that he's a little pistol. Personally, I think he's more of a shot gun cat!
